The online fashion retailer Revolve, has become the favorite among influencers and online shoppers. Influencers have driven up to 70 percent of the site's revenue and all is due to Revolve's influencer marketing strategy. This year, Revolve has released the #RevolveAwards in which influencers will be awarded in different categories including brands, influencers and revolve babes.
Cofounder and co-chief executive officer of Revolve Michael Mente, explains that sales "driven by influencers" will surpass $1 billion this year. The e-commerce site continues its fast growth with its influencer driven approach in which sales come from an influencer's direct link to purchase at Revolve.
The power of super influencers was evident in this year's Coachella event, in which influencers shared their outfits and accounted about 40 percent of traffic to Revolve.com. Revolve have understood that influencers have become masters in marketing and they continue to drag customers to the website with its next approach, #RevolveAwards. During the first ever #RevolveAwards , consumers will be able to vote for their favorite influencers in 17 categories such as Best Influencer Brand, Best Beauty Influencer, YouTube Channel of the Year and Influencer of the Year.
The Influencer of the Year will be chosen based on most significant sales, traffic, awareness and engagement drivers. “The consumer’s opinion is the only one that matters and that applies to all aspects of the Revolve business, starting with the merchandise, but equally important is the influencers [with whom we collaborate]" Mente said. Consumers can vote online at revolve.com for the first annual Revolve awards in the seven different categories.
The awards which will be held on November 2nd in Los Angeles is a call to action for consumers. This award will serve as a way "propel the influencer space in a macro sense.” Macro influencers will continue to drive sales to the e-commerce site by promoting the awards through their social media channels.
